Late morning. Doors open. Bright light. Fresh air. Springtime.
The Redbud tree? On fire. The clover? Thick. The kitchen? Sexy.
We’re coming out of the most perfect, wet hibernation. Nature gave us rain. Rain gave the bluebonnets some nutrients and moisture and they are ready to roar. Blossoms are everywhere, herbs are restoring their armatures, the wisteria is awake, coyotes are howling, seeds are sprouting and things grown here are in our meals.
It’s an adventure with real food. Today.
It’s all good. Very good. And there is also very good chocolate.
Chocolate and champagne. My two favorite vegetables!
We are raising a glass to life. It’s just that good.
